This whole week was pretty frustrating, irritating and boring. Didn’t do much work and neither felt like doing. Thank God its Friday. Hoping to have some rest on Sat & Sun and then be ready to happily face the next week 😉
Month: August 2008
Rain…rain and rain…
It has been raining in Delhi and around since morning. There is water everywhere on the roads and traffic is in worst condition. There are hell lot of traffic jams. Everybody is getting late. Its taking 3-4 hours in reaching Delhi from Gurgaon and 2 hours if you have to go within Gurgaon.
With pretty nice taste of rain i just came back from office. Now have to pack my bags and leave for home by night train. Thinking about leaving bit early as there are traffic jams and moreover a bit tight security due to 15th August.
A day of continuous rain exposes everything of our drainage system. Its so badly built that it rains for an hour and roads are full of water and traffic jams.
Something needs to be done !
Longest day in office
Yesterday was the longest day (14 hours 😉 ) i spent in this company since i joined it about 2 years ago. Today is kind of D-day for the project i am working for so there were some preparations to be done before that. Not much workload but “presence is important” kind of stuff. I have a record of staying in office for more than 24 hours in the last company and hoping not to break that record 😉
Another useless thing of yesterday was the India-band called by BJP & VHP. I just can’t understand when people of this country would throw away the stupidities. There are agitations in western countries also but everything is peaceful and general public is not disturbed. Here they blocked roads, stopped traffic and so many other things.
There was news from Ambala that a heart patient died on his way to hospital as the protesters didn’t allow the three-wheeler to move. Shit man, they don’t understand the value of a single life and they say that they are doing this for crores of Hindus, and many times for this country. Please…country doesn’t need you. Go back and sit in your homes. You can serve better by doing that.
I don’t know where this country is heading 🙁
kuch haqeeqat to…
By Sayed Ahmed Akhtar
kuch haqeeqat to hua karti thi afsaano mein
woh bhi baki nahi is daur ke insaano mein
waqt ka sell baha le gaya sab kuch warna
pyar ke dher lage the mere khilyaano mein
(sell = flood, khilyaano = gardens)
shaakh se katne ka gam unko bahut tha lekin
phool majboor the, haste rahe guldaano mein
unki pehchaan ki keemat to ada karni thi
jaanta hai koi apno mein na begano mein
sar hi ham forne jayein to kahan jeyenge
khokhle kaanch ke butt hai tere butt-khano mein
(butt-khana – temple)
Even God can’t help !
See what Supreme Court has to say about the people overstaying in Govt accommodations.
