Johny johny...no Papa

In last few weeks, a video showing kids reciting english poems in some school of Punjab has been making waves on youtube. It definitely looks funny during first watch. But soon it gives rise to serious questions about our education system. These kids don’t understand anything what they are speaking. They have just crammed this small poem and keep on reciting it daily without even trying to understand what does it mean, forget the American accent. And they are not at fault, rather we are responsible that they have got such an environment to grow up in. ...

Are we really progressing ?

I read almost daily in newspapers, magazines or watch on TV that India is progressing at this rate etc etc…describing things in some financial language that is away from the understanding of a common man like me. I was just thinking about this so called progress and thought about writing it here. Some of the common things i see, observe or read about almost daily, in no order are: First page of the newspaper is full of news of murder, robbery and rape. Daily there are some girls being killed due to dowry. People have become so heartless. Nobody cares about what is happening around. Let there be an accident on the road. I don’t think there will be someone coming forward to help. Recently a man died in Delhi after he met with an accident and nobody came to help him. From top to bottom, each and every system is becoming (“has become” in fact) corrupt. Nobody wants to obey any traffic rules. Try to observe the scene on a red light. Bigger is the car more they mis-behave. That means more money and access to best things just snatches whatever little functionality of brain you have. How many people think about the thing called “my country” ? Can we just guess the degree of selfishness in us ? To what extent we can go for little of our advantage ? Where is that so called great Indian culture ? See politicians of this country. All of them are enjoying the luxury life ? Who, what the heck country ? Use a public transport and see the behaviour of people and driver/conductor ? See how many people are homeless and sleeping on the roads/footpath ? Just few of the things which came to my mind in these 10 minutes. And then we say we are progressing ? ...

Gujarat riots

If you have watched Aaj Tak yesterday, they claimed to have exposed everything about Gujarat riots and the very same people who were involved in doing all this are telling everything. There are soul stirring stories. What they did, a normal man can’t even think of doing. After watching that the picture becomes totally clear, leaving no doubts. And the news about the same appears on rediff also. Then started peoples’ comments. Most of the public there is busy in supporting Modi and condemning Aaj Tak that why they have shown this. I just can’t understand why we can’t accept the fact. A bastard slit the abdomen of a pregnant women. What can be more horrible ? Do you think that a normal human being can do it ? Still people are supporting those people. There is crystal clear evidence in the videos that Modi said that do anything for 3 days, then I will stop it. I mean the CM of a state is saying this. How shameful. And people are taking it as a mean to tarnish the image of BJP, as elections are nearer. Does anything more needs to be done to the image of BJP ? ...

S Bhagat Singh - the real Hero

Today is S Bhagat Singh’s 100th birthday. So like every other such occasion, he is being remembered again. Politicians are throwing speeches, the same stuff: we aren’t following the direction shown by him…and all that… bhagat.jpg Bhagat Singh was right in saying that we will send the “white” out and you will see that “black” will be sitting. The very same thing has happened. The white left and came our very own called “black” by Bhagat Singh. Over the last 60 years after freedom, they have crossed all the lines, can do anything to gain something politically, a human is not human for them. And the new generation that is supposed to do something about it, bring some revolution is all the way busy in becoming another Michael Jackson, forget this desh prem and such stuff. ...

6-6-6 & its balle balle balle in the crowd...

I am not a die hard fan of cricket who will stick to TV till the time match is not over. But yesterday’s match against England was pretty interesting, especially in the last overs. Yuvraj Singh had some argument with Flintoff and that ignited the spark inside Yuvraj. He hit 6 sixes in a row. Otherwise I haven’t seen any Indian player doing some rubbish on the ground but many other teams do. Just as England did it yesterday. So Yuvraj replied back in a very cool fashion :) Enjoy the video from youtube. ...

Happy Independence Day India...

Tomorrow, on 15th August, India will wake up to celebrate its 60th independence day. Its a moment of happiness and of being proud about all those people who did the struggle and laid their lives for freedom. After 60 years, there are a lot of things that have changed and more importantly still a lot more remains to be changed. There are things like illiteracy, religion based riots, corruption, poverty, basic education for everybody, more employment for youth, making youth aware of great Indian culture and so on. If you run an eye around, there are thousands of issues, you see, that need to be addressed. We, the citizens of India need to be more responsible about everything happening around to make India a beautiful country. So with all the hopes here is wishing India & everybody a very very Happy Independence Day. ...
