eh apne aap wich dunia c
aasha te niraasha di
eh madra de pyale san
eh san vikhia de kaase v
eh tere pyar de pattar

aate shayad tu v jeekar
ehna nu pad k hun vekhein
tan hass ke aakh deve

beshak zindagi dian peeran ton
kadd ke laamb rakhe ne
eh tere pyar de purze
main fir v saambh rakhe ne

sukoon e dil ke liye

A wonderful ghazal sung by Jagjit Singh Zirvi (Not to be confused with Jagjit Singh, the ghazal singer). It is written by Shakeel Badayuni. You can listen to it on pz10.

sukoon e dil ke liye
kuch to ehtimaam karoon
zara nazar to mile
fir unhe salaam karoon
(ehtimaam – planning)

mujhe to hosh nahi
aap mashwara deeje
kahan se chedoon fasana
kahan tamaam karoon
(mashwara – advice)

uhni ke zulam ka shikwa karoon zamane se
unhi ke haq main duaein main subah shaam karoon

woh bewafa hain to ham ne ‘Shakeel’ soch liya
mujhe kasam hai kisi se agar kalaam karoon
