In last few weeks, a video showing kids reciting english poems in some school of Punjab has been making waves on youtube. It definitely looks funny during first watch. But soon it gives rise to serious questions about our education system. These kids don’t understand anything what they are speaking. They have just crammed this small poem and keep on reciting it daily without even trying to understand what does it mean, forget the American accent. What does Customer Care mean ? that too 24X7 : where customers can call anytime and get their issues resolved. Well, i just called ICICI bank’s so called 24X7 customer care regarding a query about my online account. After pressing hell lot of buttons and spending good 5 minutes, i got an option to talk to their executive but to find “Due to exceptionally high number of calls, we wont be able to take your call right now, please try after some time”… ...
I know i shouldn’t have used this word BUT even this is lighter than what they deserve to be called ! One of my friend got transferred from Bangalore to Noida. As moving from one city to another (that too with family) is a big issue so he also started all the efforts of settling in the new city. Attaullah Khan has been one of my favourite singers since i started listening to music. Today i watched a ghazal sab maya hai on youtube. Its written by Insha and rendered beautifully bu Attaullah Khan. A must watch if you are a good music admirer: Then i watched another video of the same ghazal which seems to be a newly recorded one. I read almost daily in newspapers, magazines or watch on TV that India is progressing at this rate etc etc…describing things in some financial language that is away from the understanding of a common man like me. I was just thinking about this so called progress and thought about writing it here. Some of the common things i see, observe or read about almost daily, in no order are: First page of the newspaper is full of news of murder, robbery and rape. Daily there are some girls being killed due to dowry. People have become so heartless. Nobody cares about what is happening around. Let there be an accident on the road. I don’t think there will be someone coming forward to help. Recently a man died in Delhi after he met with an accident and nobody came to help him. From top to bottom, each and every system is becoming (“has become” in fact) corrupt. Nobody wants to obey any traffic rules. Try to observe the scene on a red light. Bigger is the car more they mis-behave. That means more money and access to best things just snatches whatever little functionality of brain you have. How many people think about the thing called “my country” ? Can we just guess the degree of selfishness in us ? To what extent we can go for little of our advantage ? Where is that so called great Indian culture ? See politicians of this country. All of them are enjoying the luxury life ? Who, what the heck country ? Use a public transport and see the behaviour of people and driver/conductor ? See how many people are homeless and sleeping on the roads/footpath ? Just few of the things which came to my mind in these 10 minutes. And then we say we are progressing ? ...

sade ghar TV bahut late aya te fer b cable nahi balke free wali dish jihde ch enne zyada channel nahi hunde…par sade ghar jadon b koi TV on karda tan sab to pehla jihde b punjabi channel ne oh la ke dekhda k ki a riha…so meri te aadat hai punjabi channel vekhan di…(bahut sharam aaundi hai…eh dassna painda….k haan main punjabi channel vekhda haan…..) so ese aadat karke ya punjabi prati kuch moh hon karke main agar kise de ghar ja ke v tv dekhan te remote mere hath ch hove tan hamesha main koi na koi punjabi channel la ke baith jana te mainu pata mera taste mada nahi hai..hamesha main koi changi cheez hi vekhdan…te sare loki bade hairaan hunde ne…te kehnde b ne…k ehnu hor kise channel da nai pata bas ahi 3-4 channel e pata ne ehnu…. ...
