The new ad by Google called “Google Search – Reunion” has almost gone viral in both India and Pakistan. It shows two friends, now in old age who were separated during partition meeting again due to the efforts by their grand children and use of Google search and other options in Google. What I am wondering about is what really makes this ad click ? Given that these two countries have been in a bitter relationship since almost 1947, what exactly people are liking in this video ? Are there some deeply buried emotions or this is just an instant reaction to a nicely made video ? Not trying to be an idiotic critic but just an angle that must be given a thought, at least. ...

I shuddered with horror after reading what this poor girl has to go through. She was a brave girl and fought very bravely. But today she lost the fight and is no more with us. Nothing specific to write. Just a random post. Was watching TV and the corruption sagas getting unfolded. How common man is being looted by the corrupt politicians and he can’t do much. The so called democracy looks more like dictatorship. Thoughts of the large fraction of people are shaped by the “biased” media. So a big number doesn’t even understand what is good and what is bad for them ? Move outside the country and in the neighborhood a 14 year old girl was shot in head for promoting education for women. What ? EDUCATION ! ...

The kind of materialistic and violent world we live in it is normal to get disappointed thinking that where exactly this world is heading. But then you come across something that brings hope like Sun brings rays of light in the morning. Malala Yousafzai is a young girl from Swat region of Pakistan who has been advocating for right to education for women. She was 11 years old when Taliban imposed a ban for education on women in the region and she felt the need to raise a voice against it. ...

I know i shouldn’t have used this word BUT even this is lighter than what they deserve to be called ! One of my friend got transferred from Bangalore to Noida. As moving from one city to another (that too with family) is a big issue so he also started all the efforts of settling in the new city. Initially he didn’t bring his family with him and started searching for a rented accommodation. And this very first thing started the frustration. If you have watched Aaj Tak yesterday, they claimed to have exposed everything about Gujarat riots and the very same people who were involved in doing all this are telling everything. There are soul stirring stories. What they did, a normal man can’t even think of doing. After watching that the picture becomes totally clear, leaving no doubts. And the news about the same appears on rediff also. Then started peoples’ comments. Most of the public there is busy in supporting Modi and condemning Aaj Tak that why they have shown this. I just can’t understand why we can’t accept the fact. A bastard slit the abdomen of a pregnant women. What can be more horrible ? Do you think that a normal human being can do it ? Still people are supporting those people. There is crystal clear evidence in the videos that Modi said that do anything for 3 days, then I will stop it. I mean the CM of a state is saying this. How shameful. And people are taking it as a mean to tarnish the image of BJP, as elections are nearer. Does anything more needs to be done to the image of BJP ? ...

Today is S Bhagat Singh’s 100th birthday. So like every other such occasion, he is being remembered again. Politicians are throwing speeches, the same stuff: we aren’t following the direction shown by him…and all that… bhagat.jpg Bhagat Singh was right in saying that we will send the “white” out and you will see that “black” will be sitting. The very same thing has happened. The white left and came our very own called “black” by Bhagat Singh. Over the last 60 years after freedom, they have crossed all the lines, can do anything to gain something politically, a human is not human for them. It has been almost 11 months since I landed up in so called Delhi unki jaan [from city beautiful Chandigarh]. After having some experience here, I have been thinking of writing all the good and bad things, I have seen, in these 11 months. Well, will write about particular events some other time.
