Kids...smiles...smiles...

Today me and my friend travelled in Metro. When we boarded there were no seats so we had to go standing. We looked for a position in a corner. I was feeling sleepy so i came to the opposite door corner to slip into some semi-nap position ;) . After some time a man boarded with his baby daughter. They were also standing. And the girl was very excited to travel in the Metro and then looking around. “papa hum shat se b ooper hain…metro chal padi…bahar kitna acha hai”. I asked her to come to corner and she was so happy. Her Dad said “bhaiya ka haath pakad lo”. She held my hand and was enjoying to her fullest. Then she asked “papa hum kab uttarnge jab train aage jeygi ?” He said yes. After some time she again asked “papa hum kab uttarenge jab train wapis peeche jayegi”. He again said yes. And she replied “abhi to aap keh rahe the jab aage jeygi fir uttarange” :D We were all in laughter. At one station there was a poster of of the movie Chandi Chowk to China. She was so excited chaani chowk to china…chaani chown to china… At the next station they de-boarded and he said “thanks bolo”. Littlie said thanks and tata…till then i had forgotton all my sleep and was just smiling. ...

Union after 24 years !

While surfing i came across an old (of 2007) piece of news in a newspaper which is worth mentioning. Especially today when we are lost in the darkness of terrorism, riots and violence. Its the story of a girl that how her fate played games with her but finally after 24 years she was able to find her father again. God does wonders ! The most touching emotion is when she said: ...

Life is...

Probably, i observe too much. And that is a problem sometimes, something gets stuck in your head and it makes you keep thinking about it, all the time. This post is not about anything really. Just a post, i should say. I go to office by local bus and bus stop is just 4-5 minutes walk from my house. Generally i reach 5 minutes before the time of the bus. Now it has been pretty good time and i almost recognize all the daily passengers (probably they recognize me too). Sometime standing there, there are so many things to observe and notice. Life…at its full speed. People are going to their offices. Rikshaw wallas are waiting for their daily passengers to help them reach their destinations. Buses seem to be swiftly doing their daily duty. If we try to notice peoples’ faces some are serious, some sad and few happy. With these mobile phones with FM radio becoming so popular most of the people are seen talking on the phone or having plugged in the ear piece and listening to radio. That have actually reduced the interaction with fellow passengers in country like India. People sit quietly and play their music. These days DTC has started some AC buses so some changes are there to be seen signifying some improvements. Traffic still moves almost in a stupid and irritating manner. We Indians have not learned to obey the rules. Probably a rule is required to make people obey the rules. ...

This week...

This whole week was pretty frustrating, irritating and boring. Didn’t do much work and neither felt like doing. Thank God its Friday. Hoping to have some rest on Sat & Sun and then be ready to happily face the next week ;)

Its taking 3-4 hours in reaching Delhi from Gurgaon and 2 hours if you have to go within Gurgaon. With pretty nice taste of rain i just came back from office. Now have to pack my bags and leave for home by night train. Thinking about leaving bit early as there are traffic jams and moreover a bit tight security due to 15th August. ...

Longest day in office

Yesterday was the longest day (14 hours ;) ) i spent in this company since i joined it about 2 years ago. Today is kind of D-day for the project i am working for so there were some preparations to be done before that. Not much workload but “presence is important” kind of stuff. I have a record of staying in office for more than 24 hours in the last company and hoping not to break that record ;) ...
