Yesterday, my landlord called to inform that our this month’s electricity bill of 10,000 INR (yea, the post effects of chilling in AC :D ) was pending and today was the last date for the payment. Without any doubt, for people like us, who leave for office in the morning and come back in the evening paying online is the best option. So just like everything else, i went to BSES website and checked for the methods of payment. Everything so sweet but they said that payment done online will take 3 days to get processed so you should pay three days before the last date to save yourself from any late payment charges. I am just wondering that what is the use of making it online, if it takes 3 days to reach them. Nothing less than misuse of technology, in my opinion :( .

Actually Aman won the game and he posted it before me. So i am not going to talk about the usual stuff ;) . It was my long time wish to go to Vasant Vihar and see the Emporio Mall. There are 2 malls actually; one is DLF place and another Emporio Mall. DLF place, i would say is just like any other mall, hosting all the normal brands and all. As we all were first timers, we came out missing the hi-fi-ness about the place and then noticed the entrance to Emporio mall. Man it is, i guess the poshest mall in Delhi. The brands, restaurants and other stuff, i have almost never heard about. And the prices were totally jaw dropping. We had glimpse of all the three floors and each one was more amazing than the other. Finally feeling how rich India was, we came back smiling. Took an auto from there (oh yes we middle class, the mango people :) ) and reached home.

And almost just after coming out, there was “other” India for you to see :) .

Ladki Punjabi hai

After I came out of Punjab, I was met with a new caste(caste or what ?)-describing-terminology “ladka/ladki Punjabi hai”. No such thing was there in Punjab. It was Jatt/Ramgarhia…in Sikhs, Pandit/Baniya/Khatri… in Hindus and so on. It was after coming to Delhi that i heard about this new thing that ladka/ladki Punjabi hai. What annoys me the most is that everybody living in Punjab is a Punjabi so what this classification is ? For me, to best of my knowledge being Punjabi means you/your ancestors belong to Punjab. Let it be a Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Christian or anyone else. So what does this definition mean ? Can someone shed some light ?

Update: To clear the confusion, if any, I don’t want to highlight any caste or anything like that. Just wanted to know what exactly people mean by this ?

Would you ?

There are some people in this world who are plain *#&(#&$#*($*& and they would not mend their ways come what may. What would you do if you see someone like that in trouble and you seem to be in a position to give a helping hand ? Would you help him/her ? Would it be a pre-decided thing that whether to help him/her or not  or it would depend upon the state of mind at that time ?

Once more…coffee…oops…its getting too much probably ;) . This time we went to Barista :D . Getting seats was also a struggle. We had to get our name listed and he told us to wait for 15-20 mintues. The guy who was managing all this was almost a complete idiot, so the first impression was not so good ;) . We were three guys. After getting the seats, we ordered 2 hot and 1 cold Cappuccino (Oh yes, this time also i googled for spells ;) ). After some time he got 2 cups; in one cup something hot and cold in the other one. We were surprised to see the third cup missing but just waited. It was not Cappuccino actually, as we rightly guessed (What i was dead sure was that Cappuccino, at least contained some milk ;) ). By the time we were done with this, he got the actual order. So we started enjoying the coffee we had ordered :P . By the time we finished it, i decided to screw him up and ask for the feedback form if he added that wrong-order-on-our-table stuff in our bill. But but but…he charged only for the right order and we spared him from the not-so-good feedback ;)

Silence must be heard ;)

This time it was Costa Coffee. And this time the question is that why nobody was speaking anything there ? All their waiters were silent. Even when we asked for the bill he came back with a piece of paper which read “Cash/Card ?” So any clues whats that ? ;)
