I watched A Wednesday on Saturday. Its a real good movie. Just 1 hr 45 mins and no love story & naach gaana. Thankfully some non-karan-johar cinema to be checked out. Naseeruddin Shah, Anupam Kher and Jimmy Shergill all of them did good work. Jimmy Shergill’s acts were done a bit over. The movie flows very nicely. No boring and sleepy scenes. No jumping of story from A to Z and then back to M. Also no violence was there in the movie. Just the fear of the bombs. Naseeruddin Shah played the character of the common man beautifully. His pent-shirt and then the way he walks totally represent a normal man in the society. Anupam Kher as usual also did great. Jimmy Shergill has a small role and he did it well. Deepal Shah looks ugly and sort of extra. That part could have been handled in somewhat different and better manner.
A must watch !

Probably, i observe too much. And that is a problem sometimes, something gets stuck in your head and it makes you keep thinking about it, all the time. This post is not about anything really. Just a post, i should say. I go to office by local bus and bus stop is just 4-5 minutes walk from my house. Generally i reach 5 minutes before the time of the bus. Now it has been pretty good time and i almost recognize all the daily passengers (probably they recognize me too). Sometime standing there, there are so many things to observe and notice. Life…at its full speed. People are going to their offices. Rikshaw wallas are waiting for their daily passengers to help them reach their destinations. Buses seem to be swiftly doing their daily duty. If we try to notice peoples’ faces some are serious, some sad and few happy. With these mobile phones with FM radio becoming so popular most of the people are seen talking on the phone or having plugged in the ear piece and listening to radio. That have actually reduced the interaction with fellow passengers in country like India. People sit quietly and play their music. These days DTC has started some AC buses so some changes are there to be seen signifying some improvements. Traffic still moves almost in a stupid and irritating manner. We Indians have not learned to obey the rules. Probably a rule is required to make people obey the rules.
All goes uninterrupted and then there is something like blasts to shatter everything. Normalcy takes a break for sometime. The bad memories fade and we again see people going, buses running and so on…
That is what life is…

Yesterday, I had gone to office and came back at around 6. After half an hour one of my friend called to ask “Where are you ? All fine ?” And then i came to know that there had been serial blasts in Delhi. I switched on the TV and there was blood all around at all the blast sites. People were rushing around and moreover it was getting darker so help, search and other things were becoming difficult. Well, an unfortunate day for Delhi.
So after all this, as always the debates start “we should curb terror” “should beef up the security” etc. Govt also has almost the same statements to give. We will find them, punish and all. One things is clear who suffers is the common man. Now people can’t sit in their houses all the time. Everybody has to go out and you never know when you are running with bad luck (that is what we can call it).
Now coming to what we can do to stop all this, everybody has different views to give. To be honest and fair, maintaining security at public places like CP, Gaffar market, M block market or any other area is really difficult if not impossible. Take this case only. Most of the bombs were planted in dustbins. There are so many in the city. Who can keep check on all the dustbins ? And its not only dustbin. It could be anything else like an abandoned cycle, scooter, some packet or anything. So how to stop that ?
What basically is required is making the country a better place to live by providing people with proper education, facilities and justice. People who are unemployed, not able to earn their livelihood or who have been denied justice are so easy to fall for all this ? As they are already saying that they are taking revenge of Gujarat riots. So why we let such things happen ? 1984 Sikh riots, Gujarat riots or anything similar are crying shame for the country.
One more thing i noticed that our media needs to act responsibly in such situations and otherwise also. Yesterday they spoke on Aaj Tak that a police has taken a child in custody who was having a bomb tied to his body. But after 5 minutes they said that NO, actually the child had seen the terrorists dropping something into the dustbin, so police wanted to get the information from him. What bullshit ? Take a minute and speak responsibly.
Peace ! God bless…

Isn’t it a crying shame for the country that after 24 years (since 1984) there have been no sentences in the registered anti Sikh riot cases (How many were actually registered is a question for another day). And now Jagdish Tytler wants some case against him to be shifted from Ludhiana to Delhi. Why ? So that he can use his influence and get free from the clutches of the law (if it is still alive ?). And its not only the case with 1984 riots cases, its the story of each and every such case. Gujrat is another example. How much the Gujrat riots tarnished the image of India internationally ? Who cares ?
May God save India from these bastards !
